Criminal Justice Act Panel, District Of Nevada

The United States District Court for the District of Nevada is accepting applications to the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel. Attorneys interested in appointment to the CJA Panel must email a completed application and writing sample to NV_CJAResource@fd.org by August 1, 2024.  Applications are available from the Federal Public Defender Office’s CJA website. Questions should be directed to CJA Resource Counsel at NV_CJAResource@fd.org.

Applicants must be members in good standing of the bar of the United States District Court and must have demonstrated experience in the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, the Federal Rules of Evidence, and the United States Sentencing Guidelines.  Applicants must have demonstrated an interest in providing criminal defense services and a reputation for competent and vigorous representation.  Individuals selected to join the CJA Panel must participate in six (6) hours of training in federal criminal practice each year. Appointments to the CJA Panel are effective November 1, 2024.
