Tickets can be issued by various federal agencies for petty offenses that occur on federal land or property. If you receive a citation, or “ticket,” for an alleged violation, this ticket will be processed by the Central Violations Bureau or, “CVB.”
Some tickets or citations may require a mandatory court appearance. However, other tickets may be resolved by simply paying the forfeiture or fine amount listed on the ticket itself.
Please note: If the citation you received does not say “United States District Court Violation Notice” across the top, then you did not receive a federal citation.
