Prior to filing your lawsuit, please follow the following steps.
Step 1: Venue
If you believe your claims arise under the United States Constitution or federal law, and you want to file a lawsuit, the first step is to determine where you should file your lawsuit. This is called “venue.”
Press the “venue checklist” button below and you will be taken to a list of questions to determine if the Federal District Court in Nevada is the proper court for your lawsuit.
If, after filling out this checklist you believe that the Federal District Court in Nevada is the proper venue, proceed to Step 2.
If, after filling out the checklist it appears the Federal District Court in Nevada is NOT the proper venue, your lawsuit should not be filed in this Court.
