J.P. Kemp is Managing Partner of Kemp & Kemp, Attorneys at Law, representing employees in employment matters, workers’ compensation, and debtors in consumer bankruptcy cases. He is a 1988 graduate of Northern Arizona University with a B.S. in Broadcasting Management. He worked as a radio air personality until entering law school in 1994. He is a 1997 graduate of Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut where he was a founding member of the Quinnipiac Health Law Journal. He is a past Chair of the State Bar of Nevada Labor and Employment Law Section. He is member of the State Bar of Nevada’s Workers’ Compensation Specialization Board which certifies attorneys as specialists in workers’ compensation law. He has been a Lawyer Representative to the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada since 2018. He lives in Las Vegas with his wife Heather E. Kemp, Esq. Their son Carson is a Sophomore at University of Nevada Reno where he plays tuba in several musical ensembles and sousaphone in marching band. J.P. and Heather enjoy travel and are avid Vegas Golden Knights hockey fans.
