Chief District Judge Miranda Du extends this invitation to attorneys interested in learning more about the role of Magistrate Judges in the District of Nevada and the appointment process to fill retiring Magistrate Judge Ferenbach’s position.
On January 20, 2023, a panel of District and Magistrate Judges will present a program regarding the Magistrate Judges’ role in the District of Nevada including: the selection process for appointing the new Magistrate Judge; the function, role, and responsibilities of Magistrate Judges in the unofficial Southern Division; and relevant qualifications and experience. The judges will also accept questions from the audience on these topics.
The program will be held in District Judge Richard Boulware’s courtroom (7C) in the Lloyd D. George U.S. Courthouse, 333 Las Vegas Boulevard S. in Las Vegas.
Continental Breakfast will be served beginning at 8:30 AM. The program will begin at 9:00 AM and is scheduled for one hour.
