Sean McClelland is an Assistant Federal Public Defender with the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the District of Nevada. Prior to joining that office, Sean was a litigation associate with a large international law firm in Washington, DC, focusing on antitrust and appellate matters. Earlier in his career, Sean served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Catharina Haynes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and for the Honorable Rebecca Goodgame Ebinger of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. Sean earned his J.D. from Duke and his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago. He grew up in Northern Nevada and is active with various middle- and high-school civics education programs across the state.
